Paule van Parys is one of Belgium´s most versatile pianists and harpsichordists. She has performed throughout Europe, in Africa, and North America as well. During more than twenty years, she teached, as a professor, at the Music High School Lemmens Institute in Louvain. She wrote countless articles for magazines and periodicals. A great number of recordings were made for broadcasting and television. She has made many recordings. A comprehensive review is supplied in the discography heading. Her major drive is the research on woman composers. Sifting the archives of the "Bibliothèque Nationale" in Paris, the British Museum, Florence, she discovered works of many forgotten woman composers, like Marianne Martinez, Belle van Zuylen, Anna Bon di Venezia, Elisabetta de Gambarini, Maria Szymanowska, Marie Jaëll, Cécile Chaminade, Mel Bonis,..... The material is used for her recordings and lectures.
